PTA Goal
Our goal is to meet the needs of students, staff members, and families that are an integral part of our community.

PTA is a grassroots organization made up of parents, teachers and others around the state who have a special interest in children, families and schools. PTA membership is as diverse as Texas is in cultures, education levels and parenting skills. By joining a PTA, a member automatically becomes part of the largest child-advocacy organization in the state - over 630,000 strong across Texas.

Studies have proven that membership in PTA provides your child and other children around you with a greater chance of achieving in school. As a PTA member, you are more likely to be an informed, involved parent. These are dangerous times for children. More than ever, it is important for parents to learn ways to keep children safe, trouble free and involved in school. PTA is the best place to gain that knowledge.

On behalf of the OKE PTA, I would like to welcome all of our students and families to OKE. Whether you are returning or are new to OKE, the PTA has volunteer opportunities for all. The OKE PTA sponsors activities, holds fundraisers and organizes volunteers to assist the OKE faculty and staff. The OKE PTA strives to provide a powerful voice for all children, be a relevant resource for families and communities, and be a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.

Whether you have a few minutes or a few hours a week, we can help you find a volunteering opportunity that fits your needs and schedule. If you were unable to complete a Volunteer Opportunities form at “Meet the Teacher Night”, please take a moment to fill out the attached form. You may also visit www.okepta.org and fill one out online. If you have any questions about volunteering, please feel free to contact us.

I encourage you to become involved with PTA and your children’s activities at OKE. The more active members we have, the more we can accomplish for our children. Being involved in OKE PTA is a great way to support and encourage our children than to be involved in their school. The OKE PTA has a vision to make every child's potential a reality!
