OKE is proud to introduce Environmental Awareness as an educational program to its community.

Through this program we hope to help our community better understand their “footprint” while also learning different ways to give back.

RECYCLING UPDATES:
Pull-Tab total: 30,451

These tabs will be donated to the local Ronald McDonald House. All of the funds raised are placed into the direct operations of our local house.

Capri Sun total: 1972
This collection has ended from school but you can continue to collect pouches from home by following these steps:
      1. Go to www.terracycle.net
      2. Go to sign-in
      3. Go to username: kilpatrick
      4. Go to password: koalas
      5. Press submit
**You can then download mailing labels to mail your pouches from home. Terra Cycle will donate the funds raised to OKE PTA.

NEW RECYCLING PROGRAMS:
"SCOTCH TAPE " brand tape dispensers
We will be collecting "Scotch" brand tape dispensers through TerraCycle. TerraCycle will donate $.02 for every Scotch clear tape dispenser and core to OKE PTA. All you need to do is send these tape dispensers and cores to school with your child and drop it in the green recycling bin located in your child's grade level hallway. No labeling or plastic bags needed. With the upcoming holiday season, it is the perfect time to begin collecting these items. We will run this program through January 15, 2010.
